Laura A. Wojcik, Ph.D., P.E. is a consultant in biomechanical and
mechanical engineering based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her major practice
area is the forensic analysis of traumatic injury. Dr. Wojcik holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan
State University and an M.S.E. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from
the University of Michigan. She is a licensed Professional
Engineer and has been an invited participant in symposia and workshops
hosted by groups ranging from the National Academy of Engineering to the
American Film Institute. Many of her recent speaking engagements have
focused on engineering ethics in the courtroom and the communication of
scientific concepts to non-technical audiences.
Dr. Wojcik's prior experience
includes positions with Packer Engineering, Inc., Exponent, Inc., and as a faculty
member in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics at
Virginia Tech.
